Back From the Pond

What wonderful weather in Texas right now! I hope, wherever you are, that you are as blessed with clear crisp air and sunshiny, blue sky days.

I just came home from my writing workshop and it was fabulous. You know, there is nothing like finding a pond to swim in, if you're a duck. The weekly workshop that I attend is my pond and I normally talk my husband's ear off when I get home. I just get all quacky with excitement. Tonight we had Vanessa Del Fabbro for our speaker. She is the winner of the 2006 Christy Award, a great honor for writer's of inspirational fiction. Her books are "The Road to Home," and "Sandpiper Drift." If you have interest in South Africa, families, or women's relationships at all, you should give her a read. You won't be disappointed. She is a wonderful lady as well and a wealth of information about the writing career.

Personal good news: My son, Caleb, who is 22 and autistic, has a horse now. His father bought it for him and he rode it this weekend. This is huge, actually. If you knew my son, you would know that this is a miracle as well. I thank God because he has done such an amazing thing. He has removed a fear from Caleb's heart. How great is my God.
